Research topic for phd on early childhood education?
-current issues in early childhood education that could be researched for phd levelEffects of video game use on attention span on follow-on task, or expectation of easy success/ strength of will in resistance to temptation for denied object - conversely, effects of reading or playing simple board game with significant caregiver for same amount of time.
Or, effect of listening to judgemental rhetoric from teevee or other in room and subsequent play, as opposed to listening to Mr. Rogersesque rhetoric on their play.

What is the correct age to join pre kg schooling?
-2 3 years.. But best is to keep them away from pre school for slightly longer time period as the mother is the best teacher in the world.PreK in the U.S. is typically the year before Kindergarten. Preschool usually is a classroom that serves 2.5years-5 year olds. The "correct age" depends on the family and individual child's needs. I recommend at least 1 year of preschool prior to Kindergarten because the standards are so much more higher that the majority of the "social learning" must already have taken place. It use to be the Kindergarten was "preschool". That's no longer the case and most Kindergartens focus on academics now a days. A child with special needs, a first child who has not been with any other caregiver beside parent or grand parent, a youngest child of a large family and others often benefit from 2 years of preschool. Good luck in your decision making.
Generally, it depends on the maturity of your child. If they are ready to be away from mom and socialize with other children for an hour or two on their own, preschool should be a wonderful experience. Frequently, it helps to start with 2 days a week at age 3 and then 3 days a week at age 4. This helps them build up to the 5 days a week experience of Kindergarten.
2-3 yrs in my opinion to help your toddlers become more sociable and active with hopefully likeminded kids and learning together quickly at this stage onwards is a great advantage!
3 years for international school admissions are open in chennai
2.5 to 3 years
i think its 4 or 5

My 4 yr. old grandson has a speech delay?
-he has been in speech therapy since he was about 2& a half. He has gone to preschool special classes since he was 3. He's very intelligent, except for this. My daughter says he's doing very good, she understands him, but I have no idea what he's saying. Anyone have a similar experience? Please help?I obviously do not know your grandson, nor the extent of his speech delay, but I'd honestly not be too worried about his progress until around the age of 8 or 9. The muscles in your throat actually take a very long time to develop (it's why some kids say "wabbit" until the second grade).
The best thing I've learned is to always encourage speech. Even if you don't know what they're saying, encourage them to talk (I actually have a child in my class who has a PDD and, as a result, very non-verbal. I can barely understand him, but I'll ask him to use his words, even when he can tell me what he wants with pointing). Sometimes I'll say things like, "I'm sorry. You're trying to tell me something and I just can't figure it out. Let's work on this so I can understand you better."
I also encourage singing. The same way singing helps children who do not speak English learn the language, singing works wonders for those who need help developing their throat muscles. It can even be just some "la la la la la" to a melody.
I hope I helped!Don't get panic for this speech delay. It may be curable if he undergoes regular speaking practice. And also give moral support, practical support. You can hire tutors from http://www.tutorz.com/ to give reading, speaking practice to your child.
If you have a bad connection, sometimes Skype has trouble keeping up. Try resetting your router.
