3 yr old speech problems?

-My 3 year old daughter is very hard to understand when she speaks..

She also repeats herself a lot.. sometimes she says things that make no sense. When asked a question she completely says something different. Maybe she isn't understanding? Or doesn't want to listen. She is very independent and likes to do things her way. Is this normal? Any suggests to help with her speech would be great. Also I read to her everyday!I am a preschool teacher and would consider calling First- Steps in your area. They will schedule a time to come and test your child to see if they would need speech. If the child does need speech they will give speech to your child. If they are older than a certain age they will refer you to the next person. Also I would talk to your child's doctor. Google first step for where you live and you can get that number to call. I hope this helps.
Her speech problem has nothing to do with her not wanting to listen and being independent. Do not make a big deal about it. It also has nothing to do with what you may have or may not have done.

Time to see a pediatrician.
Talk to your child's physician and also have them test her hearing. Sometimes speech delays are caused by hearing impairments. She may have some blockages in her ear canal that tubes could help clear up.
Keep encouraging her to read and communicate with you and if in doubt, consult a speech therapist but do not worry too much yet!
my nephew in 4 years old and he almost don't speak, don't care they are young so they need time to speak it's OK :)
