Child Study tips please?

-I am training to be a Childcare worker,and as part of my coursework,I have to submit five observations on one child as part of a "Child Study" in all five areas of development, Physical, Intellectual.Language,Emotional.Social. Has anyone with any past experience of Childcare courses any advice on how to do a good child study? Thanks so much!
