-In my school (I'm a Sophomore in high school), we have a preschool that 4-5 year olds attend. I have a lesson plan due on Wednesday and it has to be about Valentine's Day. I've been searching, but there's nothing that won't take long to prepare and will only take the kids about 10 minutes. Can anybody help me on this one?
Thanks! We tend to generalize that Valentine's Day is about friendship and love. Have them make valentine cards or do a lot of art projects to be given as a "gift" to someone they like, typically mom/dad-grandma/grandpa, etc
Scissors: fold a large piece of construction paper in half. Trace a half of heart and have the children cut through both layers, it'll open up to a heart. Then you can do several things...
* use markers, stickers and stamps to create a valentine's card. Have word cards such as Happy Valentine's Day!, I love you (or rebus: I heart U), mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, their name cards if they still need them. Also have slips of paper that if they come up with a word you can write it down and they can copy it.
* have them paint on one side and then fold over the other side and print to make symmetry hearts.
* yarn painting- have them dip yarn into chosen colored paint and lay it on one side of the heart with a bit hanging out the bottom. Then fold down the top half and encourage them to press the paper down and slide the yarn out. Open up the heart and do as often as they wish.
Heart Collages: there are a lot of foam hearts available this time of year...or you can do various colors and sizes of paper hearts.
I've had them cut out a large heart and then helped them trace their hands and then fold down and glue the two middle fingers to make the "I love you" sign and glue that to their heart as a card. They can add stickers/stamps etc to decorate.
You can give them heart shaped plastic canvas and let them "sew" with yarn.
Have fun!well since you have until wednesday to get prepared, there is an art activity that goes welll with the children...The dancing Valentine/heart. Precut medium to large hearts, then cut strips of paper to be the arms and legs. (do all this ahead of time if you can) Then have the children practice folding the strips to create an accordion like effect. allow children to then decorate the heart with with various art materials and finally attached the folded paper arms and legs to the heart.
Do a simple craft where they make a simple Valentines Card with card and hearts cut out of paper and provide glues sticks
they can them give the card to their Mum
you can also find children's Valentines songs online to do as a group and other simple games
I work with pre-school children and just do simple activities and some songs
I agree with others a big heart will do. Teach them how to fold the paper in half and cut one side and the poof it's a heart! You know where you fold the paper in half and draw half a heart cut it and it's a heart!
Have the preschoolers cut out shapes of d!cks shooting sperm out, and then have the class masturbate on them to give them a more true feel. Then for the girls, have them cut of vagina-shaped ones, big enough to practice fisting
Here are some craft ideas.....I especially like the game at the end.

Try cutting hearts out of construction paper. Get little eyes (or make them) and cut out little mouth. Give them all 1 heart 2 eyes and a mouth. Help them glue and color to give to mommy or daddy!
Teach them about how babies are made. That's always a fun time.
Conduct an autopsy and show them a real life human heart!
