Is all day kindergarden considered day care?

-Are you asking this question for tax purposes?

Kindergarten is considered school, no matter if it's half day or full day.

Daycare is full time care of a child. If your child is in kindergarten, he/she needs before or after school care, not daycareIt depends on where you live. In the U.S., though Kindergarten is not required in most states, it is stilll considered 1st year of school and it's far from day care. If you live in the States you can get onto your state's webpage and the link department of education and see what the Kindergarten Content Standards are and see for yourself that it's definately not day care! :-)
dear "heart" I do not know where you get your info but daycare IS taught by a Teacher certified by the state and where learning takes place. In the 3 months or current class has beeb in session,(3 and 4 year olds) they can tell you the names of the months in English and Spanish, days of the week, what is meant by yesterday and tomorrow, at least 8 colors,8 basic shapes, including a rectangular prism, they recognize numbers to 10 and can spell and write their names. They are also in the process of learning the alphabet both letter and sound. Is this just babysitting? I think not!
No. Kindergarten is a place for leaning, taught by a teacher.

day care is a place that has no teacher but a place where a child is looked after.
No. Most Kindergartens whether in public or private schools are all day. When I taught Kindergarten my students did not take a nap either. This was not in the curriculum.
it is considered school.
No. Just like all day twelfth grade is not considered day care.
I have the same question
