-How would I introduce the book "were going on a bear hunt" to preschoolers and what would the children learn from thus bOokThis is a good sequencing good. :-) So you can probably go with something in that category for "learning".
The children like it when I create a "peek a boo" sheet for intro to the book. I usually cut out a simple shape in a piece of paper large enough to cover the front cover. Then we move the paper around the book to see what they can see and all the while they talk about what the book might be about. Then we remove the paper and see the whole front cover and discuss it a bit more. We also talk about the author and illustrator as well as the different parts of the book (spine, front/back cover, etc.)I would start off asking questions
Who has seen a bear?
Where do we see bears?
What color bears have you seen?
The kids would learn different types of moving. Have then act out the running, and moving through the bushes and such.
