What happens during a state investigation of a childcare/preschool center?

-Lets say the childcare center has a pretty good idea they will be reported.

Allegations include:

uncleanliness

lack of quality care, injuries

children being peeked at by another child while toileting/helped in bathroom by another child.A state inspector will come out unannounced to check the place out within usually 48 hours. They will look for the complaints, then a general checklist.

* Dirtiness ------ if they 'follow' basic sanitation such as covered trash cans and fresh bleach solutions to clean, this passes most state regs. Sadly.

* Lack of quality care ------ nearly a fourth of child care centers offer poor to dangerous care, and continue to operate and barely pass inspections. And parents will send the kids and not complain. Its like the parents tell themselves their most precious gift in the world will be perfectly happy/safe/clean in these garbage holes. Imagine if a fourth of the hospitals in the USA allowed for substandard care. Would you go to one? But parents send their kids to these places, even ignoring negative state inspection reports.

* Injuries ------- are they reporting these to parents and the state? are the injuries kids hitting each other, or due to defective unsafe equipment? As long as the defective equipment is removed, then the state will give them a pass.

* Toileting with other kids, under age 5 completely OK. In fact, the NAEYC-accredited centers have NO PRIVACY for the toddlers and preschoolers when using the potty :( Kids must be in complete view 100% of the time, including bathrooms. This is to get the 'high-level of quality care' NAEYC accreditation.
